Sims 4 Why Cant I Build Roof On 2nd Floor

You may expand your house by increasing the size of rooms building new ones or creating another floor. With the base game we are somewhat limited in the available roof pieces but as the game progresses more choice may be added. I had to divide my second floor up into little rooms then use the select tool then delete the non existent ceiling then it let me build an actual ceiling. Now i cant even build a second floor because the game wont let me.

Along with this i can t edit or place tile unless it was randomly added. So i m not sure why. But not where you just have an open gap in your roof and haven t defined the area above. The house you build or purchase at the beginning may be just right for you for a long time but sooner or later you will need to expand it.
